The Arnolfini Wedding

Since I was having so much trouble getting the lights at the front of the class figured out today, I decided I would post an image of the painting we talked about in class here. Here can get a closer look at everything in the picture. See if there's anything else that we missed the strengthens our reading of this work.

  1. Just a few things that we didn't talk about in class.
*In this picture you can tell that they are both wearing fur around their neck and sleeves.
*You can see her red shoes in the back.
*You can also see the woodwork on the frame of the sofa and headboard in the back. One appears to be of a woman praying, one of an animal and one of a man or monster (same thing, just kidding)
*There's a fruit tree outside the window.

  2. Nice job. There are a couple of things you mentioned that I've never noticed myself.
